About Us
Bob’s Sewing and Vacuum Center has been in business since 1980 and was owned and operated by Bob Schultz at the Princess Jeanne Shopping Center.
Bruce Dickinson purchased the business from Bob in 1986 and began offering sewing classes and started publishing a newsletter.
In September of 1988 we relocated to our present location at 1641 Eubank NE.
In July 1993 we opened a second location at 3551 Hwy 528 NW near Coors and Alameda. The store was designed from the ground up to be a Sewing and Vacuum Center with the largest dedicated class room in New Mexico at the time.
We at Bob’s have always had a goal of doing the best job in sales and service and our repeat business holds truth to our efforts. Bob’s is a family owned and operated business.

Bruce Dickinson
Owner
Bruce started with the Kirby Vacuum Company with his family in 1960 until 1980 when he purchased the Bob’s store.
Kelly Dickinson
Comptroller, Eubank Store Manager
Kelly Dickinson started in 1985 and brought Bob’s into the computer age. Kelly is the Comptroller for both stores and the Manager at the Eubank location.
Kevin Dickinson
Master Sewing Machine Technician
Kevin Dickinson started in 1989 and is now one of the best sewing machine technicians in the country. Kevin attends seminars for many brands of sewing and overlock machines.
Alameda Staff
Sales and education
