Sewing and Quilting Classes
Learn more about what we do
Quilting A-Z
Join us every 4 months to learn a new quilt from beginning to end. Lead by Roberta Ferran and at a cost of $80.00 for 4 months, you will learn the basics of quilt construction. We ask that you please take "Introduction to Quilting" first as a pre-requisite if you are a beginning quilter.
Machine Embroidery Club - Alameda
Every month we will introduce a new subject for machine embroidery. Bring in your machine and learn from an experienced teacher how to use your embroidery machine. $20.00 per month taught by Gail Allen.
Introduction to Quilting - Alameda
Have you ever wanted to learn about all the terms, tools, fabrics, and how to use your machine for Quilting? This class will be taught quarterly at the Alameda store to introduce you to quilting. We will make a simple set of 9 patch blocks using a strip piecing method. Quilting is a journey; come in and step aboard! $20.00 taught by Carole Fronk.
Machine Usage - Both Stores
One of the benefits of buying a sewing, embroidery or overlock machine from Bob's is our Machine Usage Classes for new owners. Classes are one on one and unlimited as long as you own your machine. Usage Classes are by appointment only, so please call your store today to arrange for your lesson. If you didn't buy your machine from Bob's, lessons are $35 per hour and up, depending upon the machine.
Longarm and Robotics - Both Stores
Bought a longarm or robotics from Bob's? Call your store today to book a lesson with one of our teachers. We will show you how to load your machine on the frame and adjust the top and bobbin tensions. We'll also show you the features of your machine, and how to use the robotics if you have them.
Pro-Stitcher and Pro-Stitcher Designer Group
On the second Thursday of every month, Debrah Fiddes, will present a new topic on Pro-Stitcher and Pro-Stitcher Designer. Debrah is a professional long-arm quilter with 5+ years experience on Pro-Stitcher.
